A delicious make-ahead dinner menu!
I’m excited to share with you the recipes for season 1, episode 3 of Paula Roy’s Favourite Foods, which you can watch online. which is all about great make-ahead dinner dishes. As I explain on this week’s show, just because we’re all so busy these days, that doesn’t mean we have to rely on takeout or premade supermarket meals. With a little planning, it’s actually possible to serve up a delicious homemade dinner even on a weeknight, by spreading the effort out. The show includes three of my favourite recipes, including a scrumptious fruit tart with a shortbread crust and a crumble topping (no pastry to fuss with), a flavourful salad that will draw rave reviews and an assemble-ahead-of-time chicken dish with tomatoes, garlic and fresh herbs that is sure to please – I call it my winner, winner chicken dinner! While I describe this as a manageable weeknight menu, it’s important to note that each of these dishes are impressive enough to serve to guests as well. To access more recipes from my show, I encourage you to please check the Constantly Cooking archives (just search on Paula Roy’s Favourite Foods’).
