Effortless Entertaining with delicious make-ahead dishes
While the holidays may be winding down, entertaining season is never over, as far as I’m concerned. I love hosting dinner parties in the winter as people seem especially eager to gather together indoors. Good food seems to taste even better when there’s a fire crackling, candles glowing and warming wine flowing. I am often asked for tips to make entertaining a little less stressful and my answer is always the same: hosting a group of friends or family is a whole lot easier when you’ve got a couple of surefire recipes up your sleeve. On Episode 9 of Paula Roy’s Favourite Foods (first airing today, Thursday January 5, at 7:30 pm on Rogers 22 in Ottawa and then rebroadcast January 7 at 10:30 pm, January 20 at 2:00 and 4:30 pm and January 11 at 5:00 pm), I’m showcasing three great recipes that can be used throughout the year. They’re so impressively delicious, your guests won’t know how easy they are to prepare, and they can all be made ahead of time so you’ll be on the couch with a cocktail when they arrive.
