Welcome to my kitchen! It’s where I feel most creative, most at home and most content. I am very fortunate that my job lets me play with words and with food. I love simple dishes prepared with passion and am always seeking new methods and inspiration to make food as fun and flavourful as possible.     I am in love with your blog. To be perfectly honest, every recipe here is something I would absolutely love to cook and eat. I can’t wait to try out the recipe for almond cake… or the cream puffs. I’ve always wanted to learn to make cream puffs, but I thought it was incredibly complicated. My sister is going to absolutely die of happiness when I surprise her with a plate full!

      Hi Louise, glad you liked the recipe. They really are delicious. Yes, you absolutely can make them ahead. I would reheat them gently in a moderate oven (about 300F). Hope you enjoy making (and eating) them!

    Hello Paula!

    Congratulations on your new show! That is just awesome. A friend of mine introduced your recipes to me – the first one being that yummy kale salad one where your husband said, I Love kale! It was my first kale experience and your recipe made me exclaim the same thing your husband did!

        I was just thinking of you and wondering how to contact you. I popped on this site and unbelievably, (or believably, more like it!), found this comment I made to you previously and your response regarding your yummy kale salad. Amazing.

        I was wanting to contact you because I have started a new company here in Westboro making small batch granola by hand. My company is Westboro Granola Co. I am currently selling my granola in 454g packages for $12.99 at Produce Depot on Carling, (on a shelf to the left of their coffee), at Pharmaplus Westboro, (on a top shelf in their foodie section), and at Herb and Spice on Wellington, in smaller 250g packages for $8.99.

        I am so excited! I have had such great response, particularly at Produce Depot where my sales have been 2 cases of 10 packages per week.

        Westboro Granola Co. granola is a delicious blend of an almost 50 / 50 ratio of rolled oats to other wholesome ingredients including raisins, wheat germ, coconut, pecans, dried cranberries, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, and ground flaxseed. In other words, this is not a granola that is mostly ‘just oats’! I use only pure Canadian maple syrup as a sweetener.

        I am trying my level best to let our community know about Westboro Granola Co. granola as my aim is to build a solid foundation for its success and sustainability.

        I rent the commercial kitchen at the Bethany Hope Centre at 820 Woodroffe Ave. Part of my proceeds are donated to their wonderful cause of helping young parent families in our community.

        I am inspired to sell Westboro Granola Co. granola because I Love making granola, and also because the charity fundraiser aspect of my business model works for everyone! It is just Great – both Westboro Granola Co. granola – and sharing the wealth it generates.     I am really impressed with your site and the great recipes. I saw your show on Rogers last night for the first time and it was great to actually watch a cooking show that doesn’t include judges and a competition! It immediately follow Ottawa Eats which I also enjoy watching. You should do a show on your local culinary adventures. Your trip to Sutton QC was inspiring and I want to go do the same trip. It’s so nice to have this information. Your website is now favourited and I will be constantly checking it for your recipes!
