Paula Roy’s Favourite Foods – Episode 1 recipes

Today’s the big day! At 7:30 pm, the first episode of my new TV show, Paula Roy’s Favourite Foods, is airing in Ottawa on Rogers TV, channel 22. I’m super excited, but also just a little bit nervous. While I loved every minute of making the show, no matter how often you do it, it can still be kind of nerve-wracking to watch yourself on TV. If you are able to tune in, I hope you enjoy the recipes I present and maybe learn a tip or two to help make your own time in the kitchen easier and more enjoyable.

Episode 1 is all about brunch. I love brunch because I sometimes find it’s the best opportunity to gather busy people together. I like brunch menus that feature both sweet and savoury items and in this episode I showcase three of my favourite brunch recipes that are sure to please. The best part? People will think you spent hours in the kitchen when in fact, these are all pretty fast and easy dishes. But be forewarned: your guests will be likely asking for repeat invitations after they taste what you’ve served up.

Corn Muffins with Blueberry Cream Cheese Filling

Cornbread style muffins contain a sweet surprise with blueberry cream cheese filling

Smoked Salmon and Strawberry Salad

Salad with smoked salmon, strawberries and goat cheese makes a great brunch or lunch dish.
