Did you know apples will keep for months in the refrigerator? That’s just one of the reasons they are a favourite in my household. You may chuckle at the old adage ‘an apple a day keeps the doctor away’ but there is some merit to that phrase as they are packed with potassium, soluble fibre, vitamin C and a host of other nutrients.
