Mostly make-ahead meals!

I’m so pleased to learn that my Rogers TV cooking show is gaining lots of new fans in this, its fourth season. Should you similarly wish to tune in, you can find the Ottawa broadcast schedule here and, per the same schedule, you can view without cable TV via Rogers’ ‘Watch Now’ online streaming service here. Broadcast schedules for affiliated Rogers TV stations in Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, London and Stratford can be found on those locations’ websites. Please note a full library of previous episodes is also available on YouTube and new episodes will be added to the playlist after they’ve initially aired on TV.

For episode 4, I wanted to showcase meals that can be mostly prepared in advance, then finished with ease just before serving. I mean, it’s great to pull a meal out of the freezer and reheat it, but often freshly-prepared meals just seem to taste a little better, in my opinion. Here are three great options that are easy to make and bursting with flavour.
