Paula Roy’s Favourite Foods – season 1, episode 12 recipes

The best of the west: more than just beef and salmon!

If someone asked what tasty ingredients come from Western Canada, you might instantly think of beef, wheat and salmon, but there are many more delicious food finds that hail from the left side of our country. On this episode of my Rogers Ottawa TV show, I offer up three appealing dishes that take advantage of such Western crops as wild rice and lentils from the Prairies plus stone fruit from British Columbia. If you find these recipes appealing, I encourage you to please check the Constantly Cooking archives (just search on Paula Roy’s Favourite Foods’) to see recipes from all the show’s episodes plus a whole lot more delicious inspiration!
