Sweet cherry recipe roundup

Fresh or frozen, this fruit’s a winner!

I adore sweet cherries (though sour ones also have their place in my heart). Frozen ones work well in all the recipes below and as a bonus, they usually come with the pits already removed. Of course, fresh is best, and if you plan on cooking with fresh ones regularly, I recommend buying an inexpensive cherry pitter so you can make short work of that messy job. Here are a few of my favourite ways to enjoy this delicious, nutritious fruit; click on the titles to jump to the recipes.

Sweet cherry muffins with streusel topping

Cherry shortbread crumble tart

Cherry cheesecake popsicles
