A mostly-make ahead treat to start the day deliciously!
The internet has been flooded lately with gorgeous images of focaccia art, where cooks are carefully arranging herbs and vegetables on top of savoury focaccia dough then baking up their stunning creations. While I haven’t tried my hand at that craze (yet), the pictures I saw did inspire me to think about making a sweeter version of the classic savoury, salty Italian bread. My taste testers found this a most delicious experiment. This is the latest in my new Recipe of the Week series that I am creating for Ottawa At Home magazine, where I serve as food editor, and it’s a real winner.
